Introduktsia: Zdorovenki. Welcome to Project VISKA. Depending on your learned environment, you may know me by many names. Violet, Sylvia, or Katja, maybe some kind of fourth or fifth thing. Primarily, relevantly: Vi, S, Ka. Project VISKA is the combined lifelong effort to put all of my stuff in one centrally accessible nexus. I am a 26 year old american woman living in the mental state of New York. I like to walk around, talk to people, and write about love, physical constraints, and dreams. There is a demon god that controls material reality, and the True Lord who is far away up above, somewhere. I do not like programming, even html is enough to give me a rip roaring headache. I love ARCHANGEL:NEMESIS very deeply, its a visual novel where the True Lord revealed Herself to me for the very first time. Its free on itch, i highly reccomend it. if you can't find it/its down, email me at vlafleur909@gmail.com for a copy. Mind your learned environment, and you'll have nothing to fear.
I play violin, guitar, vocal, rollerblade, sometimes draw. mostly write. Photography is nice. I like sociology and anthropology a lot. I like to try and get my head around why humans do the things that they do. I don't go on many websites regularly anymore, except for 4chan. Its not all that healthy for the spirit, but its one of the very last vestiges of old internet left on earth. For that it needs to be remembered. sin mitigation in a closed environment is very important, lest that garbage boils over. Shake hands with history, then wash your hands. also /cgl/ is a nice cute place.
personally, its a lot healthier and liberating than hours on an algorithmic slot machine.
hey. look at the skies, look at the mountains. the internet is still just a place, a place you can walk away from. don't let it subsume you. Or if you do, atleast go full send and meld your consciousness into the binary, fuck it im not your master. But paramount above all else: don't give your soul to tech companies, they're pining after em bigtime. and they'll fucking snatch em right up if you're not careful!!!!! So please be careful.
Listen closely: You need to be in a constant state of screaming terror at everything you see on a daily basis. Otherwise, you've let the demon win. He already wins at material reality, but you have the power to scream in horror and deny him this one specific win.
There is something weird going on. You feel it too, don't you?
Any further contact/posts can be found here: https://bsky.app/profile/violetlafleur.bsky.social but i am trying to step away. bluesky isnt good, its just liberal truth social. a changing of the outrage guard until its handed off to a vc in five years. not a good thing to attach oneself to; a methadone for the algorithmically hooked. thats all of us, as far as im concerned. little steps. Website updates atleast every friday. Maybe. Hopefully.
books and stories i like:
Movies i like:
Mad Max Fury Road, Happy Together (Wong Kar Wai), Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence, Trainspotting, La Haine, The Mist (Frank Darabont), The Thing, Aliens
Anime I like:
Truth be told there isnt much quarter for anime around here. I'm pretty sure the medium just doesnt resonate as much as it does for other people, even that real artsy stuff like madoka or whatever is just kindof a see it and forget it kinda thing. more-over its some real demiurgal garbage with that gacha stuff. Like its pretty cynical, these characters are designed by straight up marketing psychologists in order to tap into the lonely weeb pervert's brain, tap into it like a razor-precise icepick. tap into that animal gamble pinpoint and create illustrations and vocal cues so fine tuned to that pinpoint that the poor fool ends up spilling his wallet open cashola and all. It doesnt even stop at the gatcha garbage, people fill up entire fucking cabinets with japanese funkopops that go for a 100+ USD each. Homeboy(OR GIRL) that tokyo ghoul figurine is no different than a deadpool funkopop.
Anyway what was I saying. Ya, Boogiepop Phantom is pretty cool. Akiba Maid War is fun. 5cm per second is a winter warm bitter sad film i return to every so often. Hellsing, Watamote, Attack on Titan, and Chuunyibou are ones I liked watching a lot in my childhood. Horou Muzuko/Wandering Son is a painful thing that twists my heart to witness.
Anime adjacent things I'm more fond of: Subarashiki Hibi was my first foray into Theater of Cruelty and has gripped me to never let go, its a horrible sickly wonderful thing that lives in my soul, Wonderful Everyday. Katawa Shoujo holds a special embrace of my heart as I played it when I was a young and impressionable. By golly did it leave an impression. The band from K-ON! makes really cute songs. Vocaloids are lovely.
Games I like:
SOMA, Cruelty Squad, Fallout New Vegas, Far Cry 5, Bastion, This War of Mine, The Long Dark, Life is Strange, Max Payne 3, Postal 2, Prey 2017, Project Snowblind, Red Faction Guerrilla, STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl, State of Decay, Subnautica, FTL Faster Than Light, Balatro, Recettear, Left 4 Dead 2, Call of Duty 5, Post Void, Receiver 2, Hatsune Miku Project DIVA, Eldritch
